2010 Volvo C30 Facelift

One of the most awaited cars at the Frankfurt Motor Show is the facelifted Volvo C30. The front and rear of the car take cues from the S60 concept and the C70, which was newly revealed. Modifications to the front-end include new panels for the wings and bonnet, and in line with all the other current models, now has a larger Volvo logo in the restyled honeycomb grille. Seemingly a reflection of the design of the XC60‚ is the air intake that has been enlarged. The rear has also been worked on. Buyers have an option to specify the rear bumper assembly to be in the car's body color or a different one.

A new Sports chassis is an option for buyers of all engine variants except the 1.6D DRIVe stop-start model. The chassis is meant to give the car a sharper ride. Other modifications include sharper steering, a tighter steering ratio that gives a 10% faster response to inputs, increased spring stiffness (up by 30%) and stiffer dampers. Polished stainless steel exhausts were made visible on T5 and D5-powered models.

Buyers can now opt for metallic orange and choose from two new wheel options, one of which is white. New upholstery colors were added on the options list. If you prefer, you can add a new styling kit to the C30 that consists of a fog lamp surround and front and rear skidplates. Buyers have five diesel options, ranging from 107bhp to 177bhp, and three petrols, ranging from 99bhp to 227bhp. These include two DRIVe eco models powered by the 1.6-litre diesel engine. The version with stop-start averages 72.4mpg and emits 104g/km of CO2. Without the system, it averages 62.8mpg and emits 119g/km.
