2011 Acura RDX

Acura revealed today the 2011 RDX, the new-generation of its popular SUV featuring a new a turbocharged powertrain as well as the acclaimed Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. So, according to Acura, we have two models available in two trim choices: the RDX is offered as standard with a two-wheel-drive drivetrain and for those who want more and looking for sportier performance or all-weather capability we have the RDX with SH-AWD. Both models are offered as standard with the Technology Package.

The 2011 RDX has an aggressive appearance thanks to bold front and rear fascias, 18-inch wheels and upscale trim accents. Inside we find flowing curves- paired with lots of cutting edge technology but also Bluetooth HandsFreeLink connectivity with Bluetooth audio capabilities, a 7-speaker Acura Premium Sound System and a USB port that allows the connection (and charging) of items such as an iPhone or iPod.

Under the hood we find the a turbocharged 2.3-liter DOHC 16-valve inline four-cylinder engine which delivers 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm. According to Acura, the engine is capable to deliver a fuel consumption city/highway/combined of 9/24/21 mpg (RDX 2WD) and 17/22/19 mpg (RDX SH-AWD). The engine can be mated to a Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission which is standard.
