Aston Martin unveiled today the V8 Vantage N420, a new car set to bring a new dimension of sporting prowess and dynamic ability to the V8 Vantage range. The new vehicle is inspired by the special edition V8 Vantage N400 of 2007, and carries a 4.7-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 420 hp as well as a top speed of 180 mph. According to Aston Martin, the car is available as a coupe or roadster and with a six-speed manual or optional Sportshift automated manual transmission. Inspired by the firm's experiences at the Nurburgring 24-hour race, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 is with 27 kg lighter than the standard model due to the use of carbon fiber, has wider sills which are combining perfectly with a carbon fiber splitter, side strakes and diffuser.
The design is completed by the black mesh vents and Graphitic tailpipe finishers as well as by the 10-spoke diamond turned alloy wheels with black gloss finish. Inside we find an Iridium interior package, with graphite instruments, leather or Alcantara steering wheel as well as lightweight carbon fiber seats, Race Track stitching and special N420 sill plaques.
Also, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control and Park Distance Control are offered as standard. The car is fitted with the normally optional Sports Pack which offers revised springs, dampers and anti-roll bars for even more responsive and dynamic handling. For those who want, Aston Martin offers new range of optional Race Collection paint schemes such as Rose yellow, Kermit green and Elwood blue all featuring in the collection along with traditional Aston Martin Racing green. The white and black car shown in the accompanying images wears the equally striking Asia Cup livery. The car is priced from £96,995.
