This year, the Neiman Marcus “Christmas Book,” will showcase a special edition of the brand new 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, according to General Motors. It appears that the car will feature a limited edition produced in just 100 units, each offering luxury appointments inspired by Neiman Marcus. Based on the Camaro SS, the new edition is defined by its exclusive Deep Bordeaux exterior color, accented by subtle, “ghosted” rally stripes. The car will feature a tri-coat, metallic paint that shifts in response to natural light, while in low light it appears almost black with a touch of violet. Sunlight shows it as a bit of red and burgundy. The Deep Bordeaux color is complemented by a color-matched fabric top and windshield frame finished in matte silver. Inside, the car features some exclusive leather appointments such as amber-colored leather seating surfaces offset by black leather side panels and red stitching.
The red accents are also found on the center console, steering wheel and shift knob. The Deep Bordeaux color is found also at the interior on the dash and door panels. The design of the car is completed by the 21-inch, polished aluminum wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero ultra-high performance tires. Under the hood, the car comes with the same impressive 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering delivers 426 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque when equipped with the six-speed manual transmission.
Mated to the six-speed automatic transmission the engine delivers 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The Neiman Marcus Edition Camaro Convertible will carry a price rag of $75,000, and will be ready for delivery in the spring of 2011. As we said, the production will be limited to just 100 units, which means you must hurry up if you want one. Reservations for one of these limited-edition cars will be accepted beginning at noon, EDT, on October 19, 2010. To place a reservation, customers can call 1.877.662.6276.
