2011 Citroen DS4

Citroen has introduced the DS4 premium compact, the second member of its new DS family. The vehicle, which is based on the Citroen C4, measures 4.27m in length, 1.81m in width and 1.53m in height. Citroen reassures that even if the car is in a coupe-like form, it remains to be very practical. It is a proper 2+2 (the handles of the rear doors are hidden), and it has rear seats that can fit 2 adults and it has a boot space of 370 liters. The car gets top interior and exterior design solutions that seek to give a luxurious environment, such as chrome touches, a panoramic windscreen and a special leather finish.

The car has LEDs around the fog lights, as well as a DS signature on the hood. The boldly designed wheel arches can accommodate rims of up to 19 inches in size, while the wasteline uses chrome accents. The roofline has a stunning arch, with the rear of the model getting a spoiler. Chrome is used for the rear bumper too. The DS4 is offered with five Euro 5 engines, two HDI diesels and three petrol units.

The petrol engines were made in collaboration with BMW and deliver 120, 155 and 200 hp. The range-topping THP 200 1.6 liter unit gives a maximum torque of 275 Nm and has CO2 emissions of only 149 grams per kilometer. The diesel engines deliver 110 and 160 hp and are equipped with Citroen’s Diesel Particulate Filter System. All of the engines in the range can be offered with either the six-speed manual or the robotized manual ESG transmissions.
