2011 Dodge Grand Caravan

If you though that the 2011 Dodge Avenger was the only surprise, think again as Chrysler also unveiled the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. As expected, the 2011 model year comes with a new front fascia featuring the new Dodge signature “split crosshair” grille, a redesigned hood and new quad headlamps. At the rear end we find a new set of “ring of fire” LED taillamps and new Dodge badging. Inside, we find a new, more intuitive instrument panel with improved ergonomics and larger, redesigned gauges. The trim rings in the console glow an ambient blue-green color. The new Grand Caravan comes with more comfortable, larger Stow ‘n Go seats with a new, easy to use one-touch fold down function. Just like the other redesigned cars, the new Grand Caravan comes with new, premium seating materials and new door trim.

As a premiere for a minivan, the new car offers a heated steering wheel option. Some of the standard safety and security systems introduced by the new car include front seat mounted side air bags, a new driver side knee blocker air bag, supplemental three-row side-curtain air bags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring and remote keyless entry.

Chrysler will also offer the new 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T, featuring a redesigned interior and exterior. The new vehicle will carry under the hood the new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. This engine replaces all three of the previous minivan engines: the 3.3-liter, 3.8-liter and 4.0-liter V6 engines. The Pentastar engine delivers 283 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. The car also features a driver-selectable Fuel Economizer Mode, in order to maximize the fuel efficiency.
