2011 Dodge Nitro to receive the Heat 4.0 Lifestyle Package

The Heat 4.0 Lifestyle Package will be added to the Nitro SUV line for 2011 from Chrysler Group's Dodge brand. Changes were made to the Nitro line last year, and new names were given to the models such as Heat, Detonator and Shock. In addition, Jeep said that the selected 2011 Nitro models have upgraded their interiors with new cloth and leather with premium-colored stitching. Dodge's new racing-stripes trademark can now be seen prominently on the Detonator and Shock models. Chrysler’s announcement made last Tuesday on its Web site also includes some pertinent information on the Heat 4.0 Lifestyle Package.
It features a five-speed automatic transmission, Uconnect Phone and an upgraded eight-speaker sound system. It offers a 260-hp, all-aluminum, 4.0-liter overhead-cam V-6 engine as standard, producing 265 pounds-feet of torque. The Heat models are equipped with 20-inch aluminum wheels, body color grille with bright billets, sunscreen glass and performance suspension. Powering the models are a 210-hp, 3.7-liter V-6, which delivers 235 pounds-feet of torque.
The Detonator features a 260-hp, 4.0-liter V-6 coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission. It features the following as standard: 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, nine premium speakers with a subwoofer, remote start and a rear parking assist system. Meanwhile, the 2011 Nitro Shock comes standard with polished 20-inch painted aluminum wheels, heated leather seats and a sunroof, as well as a 4.0-liter V-6 engine and five-speed automatic transmission.
