The latest BRABUS 800 Coupe makes its international launch at the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show. It is considered to be the most powerful and fastest luxury coupe in the world. The vehicle is based on the newest Mercedes CL 600 BRABUS. On top of the vehicle's second-to-none performance, the vehicle's most impressive features are its exclusive high-class interior and sporty-elegant design. The CL 600's 12-cylinder engine is intensively reengineered in the BRABUS engine-building shop equipped with innovative machine equipment.
Displacement is boosted to 6.3 liters or 336 cu. in. from 5.5 liters or 384 cu. in. with the help of a special BRABUS crankshaft with larger cylinder bore, correspondingly larger forged pistons and longer stroke. With the extensive changes, the BRABUS 800 V12 Biturbo engine provides unparalleled performance statistics. Specifically, the engine delivers a maximum rated power output of 800 hp (788 bhp) / 588 kW at a low 5,500 rpm.
It also has a peak torque of 1,420 Nm (1,047 ft-lb) available from 2,100 rpm. In the car, peak torque is restricted electronically to 1,100 Nm (811 ft-lb). Power is shifted to the back wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission, which was reinforced to handle the huge power, and the BRABUS high-performance limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40%. The coupe keeps all the modern vehicle stability systems, which can be turned off at the push of a button. The exclusive two-door vehicle sprints from 0 km/h to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 3.9 seconds. It reaches 200 km/h (124 mph) after a mere 10.3 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 350 km/h (217 mph).
