2011 Ferrari SA Aperta

Ferrari introduced its new SA Aperta (also known as the 599 Roadster) at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. This new model celebrates Pininfarina’s 80th year of activity and the ‘SA’ pays tribute to Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina. Comparing it with the 599 GTB Fiorano (the coupe version), the SA Aperta features a lowered windscreen, which gives it a sleek look combined with the fact that the ride height has also been reduced. The Ferrari SA Aperta is powered by a V12 engine delivering 670 hp at 8250 rpm and a maximum torque of 620 Nm at 6500 rpm.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and can push the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 325 km/h or 202 mph. According to Ferrari, the SA Aperta has a fuel consumption of 17.5 l/100 km (13.55 mpg) and delivers 411 g/km CO2 emissions. If you like this car and want one, we have bad news: the new Ferrari SA Aperta will be produced in a limited edition of 80 units and all were already sold.

"The SA APERTA features a lowered windscreen which, combined with the fact that the ride height has also been reduced, makes the car lower and sleeker. In profile the A-post creates an arc that ends with two aerodynamic buttresses integrating the two roll hoops which follow the outline of the seats. Each individual detail of the SA APERTA, designed by Ferrari Centro Stile in collaboration with Pininfarina, has been chosen to highlight the craftsmanship involved in its creation, with the finest materials – such as leather, carbon-fibre and Alcantara - used throughout from the dashboard to the roomy boot." stated the press release.
