Ford is engrossed in a swirl of activity involved in preparing for the 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show this December. Aside from officially introducing the US-spec Fiesta, Ford will also be unveiling the 2011 Ford Mustang. Until the show starts, Ford will have media knocking on its door to ask for specifics about the latest Mustang. At the Fox Car Report held last week on FoxNews, Ford's global product development chief, Derrick Kuzak, had appeared and disappointingly, did not appease our curiosity towards the Mustang model. Kuzak skirted around the topic, only saying that he will only let us in on the details in December. He apparently intends to allow the rumors to remain unconfirmed. We´ve heard reports that we should expect a new, more powerful, 300+ horsepower base V6, along with the widely-expected 400-horsepower 5.0-liter V8. There's also speculation that there will be an aluminum-block version of the 5.4-liter supercharged V8 for the 2011 Shelby GT500.
