Hyundai revealed today the all-new 2011 Elantra, which is set to make its official debut at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. As you can see, the new car comes with the same fluidic design seen on the new Tucson and the 2011 Sonata, which means that we will see a new hexagonal grille, new taillamps as well as a revamped interior. As expected, the car will be powered by the new 1.8-liter inline-four engine capable to deliver 148 hp and 131 pound-feet of torque.
The engine will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and the car will be capable to deliver a fuel consumption of 29 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. The car will also be available with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Inside, the car features new and solid materials as well as a nifty center stack fitted with a circular button to operate a number of climate controls. In addition, we find leather, power sunroof as well as heated front and rear seats as standard. Also as standard is the electronic stability control, as well as 15-inch wheels. 16-inch and 17-inch wheels are available as an option. Regarding the price, the 2011 Hyundai Elantra will be priced from $15,550, while the top of the line model will cost you $22,700, including destination charges.
