Infiniti announced today that its new-generation 2011 M Sedan will cost buyers $450 more than the current generation despite a larger engine and new technologies. So, on March 18, the date when the new vehicles will go on sale, Infiniti will offer them in two versions, the V6-powered M37, starting at $47,115 and the V8-powered M56 starting at $58,415 (prices include dealer destination charges). Regarding the M56, this shows an increase of $5,400 over least expensive version of the current V8-powered M45. There is a catch though because the new model will come with a premium package and navigation system that previously cost M45 customers an additional $3,350. The M56x with four-wheel-drive will carry a price increase of just $750 over the four-wheel-drive M45x. The four-wheel-drive M37x will start at $49,265, a $450 increase over the four-wheel-drive version of the current M35.
