2011 Infiniti M unveiled at the LA Auto Show

Finally, the public has gotten a good glimpse of the 2011 Infiniti M model as it is officially unveiled at a media event in Beverly Hills, California, recently. When the luxury sedan goes on sale in late March 2010, potential buyers will be offered two engine choices.
Both are said to provide more power and improved fuel efficiency compared to the previous generation M's V8 and V6 engines. The Infiniti M56 with a 420-horsepower 5.6-liter VVEL Direct Injection Gasoline V8 and the Infiniti M37 with a 330-horsepower 3.7-liter VVEL V6 are both offered in a choice of rear-wheel drive or with Infiniti's Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system.
The 2011 Infiniti M boasts of having a completely redesigned body, while its interior feature both luxury and sports design elements. Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Business Unit, said that the 2011 Infiniti M is an embodiment of its best thinking, design and quality to date." Poore added that aside from offering invigorating performance, luxurious comfort and the highest levels of craftsmanship and style ever offered in an Infiniti, the car also offers the latest in technology systems. These include Active Noise Control, Nissan new Forest Air climate control system, "Infiniti Drive" selectable drive mode control, Active Trace Control, Eco Pedal and enhanced Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System. Also being introduced in the Infiniti M is the new Blind Spot Intervention (BSI) System, the first system ever that alerts the driver if another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area and helps return the vehicle back toward the center of the lane of travel away from the other vehicle. In addition, the car has the following features: a Bose 2-channel 10-speaker premium audio system or Bose Studio Surround sound system with digital 5.1-channel decoding and 16 speakers (including two personal speakers mounted in the shoulders of each front seat), heated steering wheel, climate-controlled front seats, semi-aniline leather and genuine White Ash wood trim that has been enhanced with real silver powder.
