The readers of the British BusinessCar magazine have named the new Jaguar XJ as the ‘Best Luxury Car’. It’s no surprise since this vehicle has successfully merged the old and new elements into one spectacular luxury car that also boasts of being filled with the latest technology. Getting this recognition proves just how much of a hit the Jaguar XJ is in the UK business market. The model only started selling in May 2010 but already, it is the leader in its segment.
Geoff Cousins, Managing Director, Jaguar UK, said that the XJ has brought a “bold new approach” to UK’s luxury car market with its “distinctive design, generous accommodation, exceptional performance and strong economy credentials.” The XJ is constructed with a next generation lightweight architecture, made mainly from aluminum, but also from magnesium and composite alloys.
As a result, the car weighs less than most of its rivals in its class but its stiffness remains satisfactory. BusinessCar's Editor Paul Barker said that in the highly competitive corporate marketplace, the new Jaguar XJ has already shown its “worth and appeal.” He said that the Jaguar’s targeted approach with the new car in the business car market is clearly paying off as proven by this well-deserved award.
