KTM announced that is currently working hard on the X-Bow R, a sportier version of their popular vehicle powered by the impressive engine found on the current Audi S3. For those who don’t know, the Audi S3 is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI engine delivering 265 hp, but the new KTM X-Bow R will deliver 300 hp.
The standard version of the KTM X-Bow delivers 240 hp, and has a total weight of 790 kilograms.
This means that the new X-Bow R will take on most of the current sports cars. Furthermore, the new X-Bow R will offer two packages: sport and race (optimized for track use).
Each package includes an array of completely new developed parts, which can increase the performance of the car dramatically. Many of these parts are already available in the PowerParts program.
The car you see in the photos has almost all the new parts installed. The full details, prices and photos will be released in early 2011.
"The packages each include a vast number of completely new developed parts, which increase the performance of the car dramatically. Many of these parts will be also available separately in the PowerParts program, so all current KTM X-BOW owners will enjoy the benefit of the new developments." said the press release.
