Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Blancpain

Lamborghini, in collaboration with Blancpain, unveiled today the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Blancpain Edition. The new car promises to offer the competition spirit of the Super Trofeo race car and comes with an exclusive design and one hundred percent road-going usability. For those who don’t know, Blancpain is the world’s oldest luxury watchmaker and the sponsor of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series.

The new Gallardo LP 570-4 Blancpain Edition comes with a new rear spoiler for maximum stability and the engine cover for optimized ventilation borrowed from the race car featured in the world’s fastest one-make series.

Furthermore, the car is equipped with Skorpius wheels with yellow-painted brake calipers and carbon-ceramic composite brake discs. A visual feature is also the matt black paintwork but also the carbon-fiber components such as the diffuser and mirror casings. The car features an interior finished in black Alcantara with yellow accents and visible carbon-fiber. The new Blancpain logo is placed on the exterior but is also planced on the seats and on the cockpit in yellow stitching.

Under the hood, we find the same 5.2-liter V10 engine capable to deliver 570 hp and found on the production car (as is the case for the Super Trofeo race car). Superb traction from the all-wheel drive ensures perfect stability in every situation. With a total weight of 1340 kilograms (2954 lb), the car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and flies past the 200 km/h (124 mph) in 6.8 seconds, while the top speed achieved is 320 km/h (199 mph).
