2011 Land Rover Discovery 4 Armoured
Land Rover has launched the new Discovery 4 Armoured, boosting its range of factory-supported armoured vehicles. The Discovery 4 Armoured, which replaces the Discovery 3 model, offers the same renowned all-terrain capability and state-of-the-art protection. However, the new model has upgraded features that lead to higher levels of performance, luxury and style. The Discovery 4 Armoured is powered by a more powerful 5.0-litre LR-V8 petrol engine compared to the older model. It offers improved passive safety with an airbag restraint system for driver and front passenger, and it also features a more luxurious interior with premium leather seats.
The new model offers discreet armouring and a 500kg payload. The five-seater offers a highly versatile, safe and comfortable transportation. The Discovery 4 Armoured comes with a full three-year, 80,000km factory warranty on the base vehicle and armour, along with comprehensive after-sales support from specialized technicians.
To heighten performance further, the Discovery 4 Armoured has received the new 375PS 5.0-litre LR-V8 direct-injection petrol engine to replace the 2.7-litre V6 turbo-diesel used in the old model. This engine and its responsive six-speed automatic transmission enable the vehicle to accelerate from zero to 100km/h (62mph) in just 10.6 seconds.
