As you may know already, Lexus will bring the production version of the 2011 CT 200h at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Prior to its debut, the manufacturer announced that the new car is expected to deliver C02 emissions of just 96g/km, and an anticipated 68.9 mpg (UK cycle) in combined cycle driving (4 l/100 km or 57.3 mpg in US cycle). This means that the new 2011 Lexus CT 200h will be more fuel efficient than the current versions of the Toyota Prius. According to Lexus, the new car is built on a new platform which benefits from a series of exclusively developed body, chassis and powertrain control systems.
As you may know already, the car comes with a choice of Dynamic and Relaxing driving moods as well as four selectable modes for the full hybrid system: Normal, Eco and EV (electric vehicle), plus a Sport setting (you can read more about these modes here).
“Lexus designers have given the car the lowest possible centre of gravity with a high-rigidity bodyshell, a lateral performance damper system and new double wishbone rear suspension, which all contribute to delivering high speed stability, smooth and precise handling, rewarding agility and the ride comfort expected of any Lexus.” stated the press release.
