2011 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe to receive the new 5.5-liter V8 engine

It looks like the engineers are working hard on the new 2011 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe a.k.a. the successor of the CL63 AMG, as the car was recentley spotted in Los Angeles. The new S63 AMG Coupe is expected to receive the new 5.5-liter V8 engine found on the S63 AMG Sedan show car which was recentley unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. The new engine is expected to deliver 536 hp and 590 pound-feet of torque but Mercedes-Benz will also offer an optional Performance Pack capable to boost the performances of the car to 563 hp and 664 pound-feet of torque. Just like the current E63 AMG Sedan and the SL 63 AMG, the new coupe from Mercedes-Benz will receive the latest MCT Sportshift seven-speed automatic transmission. [via insideline]
