2011 MINI Countryman

MINI announced today that the 2011 Countryman crossover will carry a base price of $22,350, which means it will be with $550 more expensive than the three-door Clubman wagon. The top of the line MINI Countryman with a Cooper S trim and optional all-wheel drive will cost just under $30,000, including destination charges. Under the hood, we find a choice of three petrol engines: a 72 kW/98 hp found in the MINI Countryman One, 90 kW/122 hp found in the MINI Cooper Countryman and a powerful 135 kW/184 hp 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine (found also on the MINI Cooper S) found in the MINI Cooper S Countryman.

In Europe the Countryman also offers two diesel engines: MINI One D Countryman (66 kW/90 hp) and MINI Cooper D Countryman (82 kW/112 hp). Furthermore, the MINI Countryman offers the optional MINI ALL4 all-wheel drive, but the bad news is that this is available only for the Cooper S. Inside, the car offers a seat bench for three passengers, but can also be bought with two individual seats.

The MINI Countryman is also fitted as standard with the innovative Centre Rail storage and fastening system. Some of the standard features include air conditioning and a CD audio system, while exterior paint finishes and interior colours designed exclusively for the Countryman are available as an option.
