Opel is making huge strides early on in the year as it released the modified version of the Corsa, the car responsible for 30% of European Opel/Vauxhall sales. Performance and visual modifications were made on the car.
However, these tweaks pale in comparison to the upgrades on the 111 Limited Edition that's set for release later this year to celebrate 111 years of automotive history. The Corsa, which will be released in coupe-like three-door and the five-door body styles, will also have other special editions in Germany.
This includes the Color Line series (Color Race, Color Edition and Color Wave with distinctive bodywork finishes and attractive 17-inch alloy wheels). The consumer will also have a wide range of powerplants to choose from, ranging from the 1l 3 cylinder unit (65 hp) to the top-of-the-line 1.7 CDTI diesel (130 hp/300 Nm). The Corsa has an average fuel consumption rating that‚ under 5l/100 km for all diesel versions, while the gasoline versions average in between 5 and 5.5l/100 km.
The revised Corsa also now has optimized dampers, springs, anti-roll bars, rear axle, electric steering gear and its calibration software. According to Opel, all changes apply to Essentia, Enjoy and Cosmo variants, while the Sport chassis, GSi and ecoFLEX have modifications only to its rear axle and steering. Changes to the OPC are limited to the steering gear.
