2011 Opel/Vauxhall Facelift

Starting March next year, Opel/Vauxhall’s Corsa supermini will receive a minor cosmetic facelift. The main changes to be made on Vauxhall’s topselling model include a new bumper molding with a wider lower grille and ‘eagle eye’ headlamps. By next spring, the Corsa will be available with five bright new body colors. The existing Corsa, which is now on its fourth year, will also feature daytime running lights and extra chrome.

The vehicle will get redesigned Griffin badges and 16-inch alloys on the SE and SXi. Meanwhile, the VXR model will receive new 18-inch designs, which takes its inspiration from the Insignia VXR. The Corsa will use the latest multimedia ‘Touch and Connect’ technology, a preview for what will soon serve as the centerpiece of Vauxhall’s 2013 Junior city car. Through a five-inch touch-screen display, it controls sat-nav, CD/tuner, aux-in, USB and Bluetooth phone connectivity. The chassis is unchanged as Vauxhall had made changes on it earlier this year by adding a new rear axle, revised spring/damper settings, a new steering set-up and geometry and new bushes for the redesigned front anti-roll bar.

"Inside and out, new, contemporary colors and decors are offered. In addition to a modern charcoal hue, the interior can also be dressed with more expressive Tabasco Orange or Steel Blue decors. The new exterior color palette integrates a delicate off-white Guacamole, eye-catching Grasshopper green and daring Henna. In addition, the successful Color Line featuring special, sporty looking versions are enriched with a new optional “Linea” pack, featuring two large stripes stretching across the length of the body with matching colored 17-inch wheels and exterior mirror caps." stated the press release.
