2011 Porsche Boxster S

After we revealed you the fact that Ferrari will never use diesel engines but it will cut CO2 emissions with 40% by 2010, another sports cars manufacturer is taking on the green way. Autocar announced today that the next-generation of the Porsche Boxster will be powered by a four-cylinder engine for the first time, transforming it into the most fuel-efficient Boxster ever. It seems that the next generation of Boxster will offer just over 200 hp (it will be interesting to see how a Vw Scirocco by Oettinger will overtake the Porsche). For those who don't know the current generation of Porsche Boxster is powered by a 2.7-liter engine which emits 222 kg/km of CO2. The new model is expected to arrive in 2011, but until then check the Electric Porsche 911 by RUF!
