Saab 9-4X Crossover

As you may know already, the 2011 Saab 9-4X Crossover will make its official debut in November at the 2010 LA Auto Show. What we did find out today, is that the upcoming vehicle will only get four petrol engine, and no diesel. This makes us think that the car could be developed especially for the United States market, as the Europeans will not be so attracted when they will see it.

One of the engines could be the 3.0-liter found on the Cadillac SRX, as the Saab 9-4X is developed with some help from GM. The 3.0-liter V6 engine delivers 255 hp (298 kW) and uses a six-speed manual transmission.

A more powerful 2.8-liter turbocharged V6 could also be used, as this engine delivers an impressive 300 hp (224 kw) and uses an Aisin AF40 six-speed automatic transmission in order to maximize fuel economy. The 2011 Saab 9-4X Crossover will be available starting April next year and the first deliveries will start in June.
