2011 SEMA Show: Chevrolet Camaro 1LE Concept is a mix between two muscle cars

The Camaro 1LE Concept, which was unveiled today at the 2011 SEMA Show, is the kind of muscle car we like because it borrows production components from both the Camaro SS and forthcoming Camaro ZL1 in order to deliver a competition-ready package. This means that the legendary 1LE option code designation returns to the Camaro as a concept (for now, but we are sure that GM has a surprise for us in the future) in order to carve up road courses. Some of the highlights of the Camaro 1LE are the Victory Red exterior color with graphics on the front fender, a satin black splitter, rocker panels, rear spoiler and outside mirrors, electric power steering, sport suspension featuring the Magnetic Ride Control as well as a six-speed manual close-ration transmission.
Moreover we find lightweight 20-inch wheels in satin black wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G asymmetrical tires taken from the Camaro ZL1, new Brembo six-piston front calipers with two-piece front rotors, and four-piston rear calipers (Chevrolet Official Licensed Product), a new dual exhaust outlets with ZL1-style active exhaust and diffuser and shock tower brace, a red engine cover produced by Chevrolet Accessories. T
he interior shows some black leather with Light Stone stitching, Graphite Silver door and instrument panel inserts, a ZL1 shifter with Light Stone stitching, a ZL1 flat-bottom steering wheel and a new pedal kit manufactured by Chevrolet Accessories. “The Camaro 1LE concept is all about the track,” said Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer for the Camaro. “It’s an all-out race car package that pays tribute to that special option from the past.” P.S.
