2011 SEMA Show: Chevrolet Hot Wheels Camaro Concept

Hot Wheels Camaro Concept

We know that Hot Wheels created lots of toys inspired by Chevrolet cars, but the new Hot Wheels Camaro Concept is out of this world. Unveiled today at the 2011 SEMA Show, the vehicle is inspired by the “Custom Camaro” – the dazzling Spectraflame1:64-scale toy that was part of the original 16 Hot Wheels cars released in 1968. That project was created by the Hot Wheels Design studio in California in collaboration with General Motors Design studio in Michigan.

The original car featured the metallic Spectraflame paint finish, while the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept comes with a brilliant, chrome-style finish created in a similar manner: a tinted top coat over a shiny base. Moreover, the green color is completed by satin black ground effects (splitter, rocker and rear fascia-side extensions), as well as by the 20-inch satin black wheels featuring a Torch Red stripe.

Furthermore, we find a ZL1 grille with Hot Wheels badging, Hot Wheels badge on the decklid, Euro-style taillamps with new inner smoked lens, Euro-style rear fascia with new diffuser and exhaust bezels, a new ZL1 rear spoiler, new Chevrolet Accessories Modified Satin Black Stripe and Black aluminum hood insert with milled hood vent extractors. The interior features black leather-wrapped IP and door inserts with Torch Red accents, and cut-and-sew flames, Hot Wheels sill plates, a Chevrolet Accessories pedal kit and Hot Wheels cut-and-sew embroidered logos in the front seatbacks.
