Honda unveiled at the 2011 SEMA Show, the Accord Coupe V6 HFP Concept, a vehicle that combines the expertise of Honda Performance Development (HPD) with the styling and performance history of Honda Factory Performance (HFP). As you can see from the photos, the car features a new body kit consisting of a new front bumper, new side sills as well as a new rear bumper with integrated exhaust system.
If the Honda Factory Performance department took care of the exterior, the Honda Performance Development upgraded the engine. As a result, the standard 3.5-liter V6 engine got supercharged and now delivers an impressive 335 hp and 285 ft. lbs of torque (up 64 hp and 34 ft. lbs vs. stock car).
HPD guided the creation of the “concept,” which includes a supercharger and performance air intake and exhaust systems. Although we don’t know if this concept will get a production version, Honda says that the car was modified in order to demonstrate the performance potential of the Accord V6 coupe and to gauge consumer interest.
