2011 Smart ForTwo Facelift

For those who liked the 2011 Smart ForTwo Facelift we have great news: the manufacturer has just announced that in the UK the small city car will go on sale with a price of £8,780.

Besides significant improvements in style, comfort, CO2 emissions the new car also comes with eye-catching 3-double-spoke alloy wheels and new Monoblock VII alloy wheels on the Xclusive version.

Furthermore, thanks to the fact that the coupe is heightened, it is now possivle to open the car’s rear lower tailgate using just one of its two release levers rather than both, as previously.

Inside, we get a trio of fabric patterns: design black, design red and design beige. Also, all models have extra storage space in the shape of a new glovebox design and useful net pockets on seat side bolsters. Both trim lines received new steering wheel designs: a 3-spoke leather sports wheel and a new 2-spoke leather item with matt chrome bezel.

Inside, the car features USB/iPod connectivity while the Xclusive versions have the feature-packed smart high line audio and navigation system, fitted with a beautiful 6.5” touchscreen display, but also RDS radio, Bluetooth, auxiliary and USB ports, iPod interface and CD/DVD/SD functionality. Under the hood we find the same engines as its predecessor: the 71bhp micro hybrid drive petrol delivering only 97g/km CO2 emissions. The Xclusive also lowered its emissions to 119g/km and received a 7bhp increase which means it now produces 102bhp and it is capable to hit 62 mph (or 100 km/h) in just 8.9 seconds (with a second quicker than the old model).
