2011 Subaru Trezia introduced in Japan

2011 Subaru Trezia
Subaru has launched the Trezia, its new compact MPV, in Japan. The Subaru Trezia is a re-badged version of the Toyota Verso S that had been launched recently. The Subaru Trezia features the same nose as the Impreza. It also gets a new trim on the tailgate and Subaru badging. Otherwise, its styling is identical to that of the five-seat Verso S (known in Japan as the Ractis) that was displayed at the recent Paris motor show. Buyers can choose from a 1.3 or a 1.5-litre petrol engine. They can also choose from either front or all-wheel drive.
Subaru wants to offer smaller models in Japan, where its sales have not been progressing after the government ended its incentive program for new-car buyers. Suzuki also seeks to reduce its fleet CO2 average.
This is the most recent model to be launched that was produced by the team-up between Toyota and Subaru’s parent firm Fuji Heavy Industries. These two companies are also co-developers of a small rear-drive coupé, which was initially seen as the Toyota FT-86 concept at the Tokyo motor show last year. For now, Subaru doesn’t plan on bringing the Trezia to the UK; however, this decision is still subject to review.
