Many are looking forward to seeing the facelifted Toyota iQ at the Paris Motor Show but its market in Japan gets an early special treat with the introduction of a special version dubbed the iQ 130G.

This new version of the mini vehicle received several changes that bring it closer to the Scion iQ. Notably, the iQ is marketed as a Scion in the US. The vehicle features revised bumpers that boast a more dynamic design, exterior mirrors that use a gray finish and an updated exhaust tip.

For a premium impression, Toyota offers new color combinations for the leather finish and piano black trimming. Customers also have several options to personalize their iQ.

The iQ 130G is equipped with the 1.3 liter VVT-i, using variable valve timing engine, which generates 95hp in JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) spec.

The unit can be coupled to a manual gearbox or to a continuously variable transmission. The standard iQ may also be ordered with a 1.0 liter VVT-i petrol powerplant that delivers 68hp or a 1.4 liter diesel powerplant that produces 88.5hp.
