GM revealed today the all-new 2012 Buick Verano compact luxury sedan, the brand’s third new which promises to be the latest model in a product renaissance that began with the Enclave and continued with the LaCrosse and Regal. Set to make its world debut next week, at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, the 2012 Buick Verano comes with refined styling with a sporty line as well as a new and luxurious interior. As you can see from the photos, the 2012 Verano carries the same design philosophy introduced by the Enclave, Regal and LaCrosse, which means you will see a detailed black chrome waterfall grille, translucent projector beam headlamps, portholes, chrome accents, premium wheels as well as a tailored body-to-wheel relationship.
The car will be available in the following colors: Claret Red Tintcoat and White Diamond Tricoat. Other exterior color choices include Black, Olympic White, Switchblade Silver Metallic, Cyber Gray Metallic and Mocha Bronze Metallic. Inside, you will find exceptional seat comfort and support, but also premium soft-touch materials and ambient lighting inspired by the LaCrosse.
The interior of the 2012 Verano will be available in neutral and medium titanium colors leatherette/fabric seating surfaces, while ebony, cashmere and a unique Choccachino color are offered on the available leather-trimmed interiors. Under the hood, we will find a powerful Ecotec 2.4L four-cylinder engine featuring dual-overhead camshafts, variable valve timing and E85 capability. This engine delivers 177 horsepower (132 kW) and 170 lb.-ft. of torque (230 Nm), and promises to offer a fuel consumption of 31 mpg on the highway. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Electric power steering and a more efficient transmission design help optimize fuel economy.
