Starting in the spring of 2012, Infiniti retailers throughout the U.S. will offer the 2013 IPL G Convertible. This is the second model in the Infiniti Performance Line lineup. The new IPL G Convertible, which is based on the standard Infiniti G37 Convertible, mixes a seductive style with a highly engaging driving experience. The VQ37HR 3.7-liter V6 engine on the IPL G Convertible produces 273 lb-ft of torque (+6 lb-ft) and 343hp, an 18hp increase over the non-IPL G Convertible models.
It is offered with an electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission with Downshift Rev Matching ad magnesium paddle shifters, together with an IPL-tuned suspension and Sport brakes.
The exterior changes when compared to the stock Infiniti G Convertible include the following: a significant front bumper/fascia design with integrated fog lights and black finishers, chrome exhaust tips, sculpted side sills, and an exclusive set of 19-inch IPL split 7-spoke graphite-finish wheels. Its jewel-like look is enhanced with its exterior colors: Moonlight White and Malbec Black. The interior of the IPL G Convertible is similarly offered in only two color treatments: Stone and IPL-exclusive Monaco Red. It also comes with red-stitched leather-appointed front sport seats, red-stitched steering wheel, and Silk Obi aluminum trim.
