Although it’s just the second day of the year, this Monday just got better as Mopar unveiled the 2012 Dodge Charger Redline and announced that it will bring it to the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. According to Chrysler, the new 2012 Dodge Charger Redline is a 426 HEMI-powered showcase of new Mopar performance kits that will arrive later this year. Stage one gives the car a new look with new carbon fiber exterior components but also interior accents such as a full-width Mopar carbon fiber chin spoiler and two-piece grille featuring a body-color painted-grille surround with black signature "crosshair" insert.
Moreover, we find the Redline Tri-coat paint, new 20 x 8-inch Mopar Black Envy Wheels feature a Pitch Black-painted wheel face with polished accents, carbon fiber door scoops and a new three-piece Mopar carbon fiber rear spoiler. Emphasizing Dodge Charger Redline's fastback silhouette is Mopar's vinyl roof graphic in matte black. The interior features premium materials such as Mopar aluminum shift bezel and aluminum instrument panel bezel with Redline perimeter accent and new stainless steel Mopar pedal covers with a rubberized pattern for improved traction. The second stage ads world-class power, handling and braking.
The 2012 Dodge Charger Redline receives a Mopar cat-back performance exhaust system which improves the sound and increases the power, a front-tower cross-brace and front tower brace caps provide increased structural stability for improved handling dynamics and new high-performance Mopar brake linings. The third stage is concentrated around the engine: the 426 HEMI V8 crate engine delivers an impressive 590 hp, an additional 220 horsepower over the standard the 2012 Dodge Charger R/T. Mopar cast-aluminum valve covers and billet fuel rails are also included in the Dodge Charger Redline's Stage III performance kit. According to Mopar, several industry-first features were introduced on the 2012 Dodge Charger Redline, such as vehicle-information apps, electronic owner manuals, wi-fi and electronic vehicle tracking system (EVTS).
