There are reports emerging concerning the next generation Civic that is set to be introduced in 2011 as a 2012 model year car. Knowing the traditional way of doing things by Honda, the different markets in Japan, Europe, and America, will be getting their own variant of the famous Civic. The American will be expected to get their choice of sedan and coupe body styles while the other countries will be getting their different versions of the hatchback theme. As expected, the 2012 Civic will be coming with a hybrid variant which will come equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline unit coupled to the Integrated Motor Assist technology of the carmaker. This engine has been speculated to be shared with the forthcoming CR-Z hybrid hatch which will come with either an automatic CVT transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. All of these reports will be confirmed this October when the Tokyo Auto Show arrives where production prototypes of the 2011 CR-Z will be showcased as has been long expected.
