Infiniti revealed today at the 2010 LA Auto Show its first production hybrid performance luxury sedan, the all-new 2012 M35h. Set to make its debut in Spring 2011, the new car is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine paired with a 50 kW electric motor, delivering a total output of 360 horsepower. In addition, torque numbers are also impressive: the V6 delivers 258 lb-ft of toque, while the electric motor delivers 199 lb-ft. The new car features the new Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid system, an advanced one-motor, two-clutch parallel hybrid design combining high-speed motor control technology, which enabled by the powerful Lithium-ion battery, allows power to be delivered directly to the vehicle’s 7-speed automatic transmission.

Moreover, the car features Hybrid Electric Power Steering system and Electric Driven Intelligent Brake regenerative braking system. Only because is a hybrid doesn’t mean that you will not receive the well-known Infiniti quality. According to the manufacturer the car delivers 30 miles per gallon fuel economy (estimated Highway mpg, official EPA figures not available at press time)

The M35h comes with a standard leather-appointed seating, Japanese Ash wood trim or available silver powdered genuine White Ash wood trim. Still, the car offers optional features such as Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Blind Spot Intervention (BSI), Forest Air system, Active Trace Control, and Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System.
