Subaru released today the first photos with the all-new 2014 Forester and announced that the new model will make its North American debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. According to the official press release, the 2014 Forester promises to combine a bolder profile than before while offering a roomier interior. Under the hood, we will find a new 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged BOXER engine delivering 250 hp and 258 lb-ft. of torque. Still, a standard naturally aspirated 2.5-liter BOXER engine is also available delivering 170 hp and 174 lb.-ft. of torque. Thanks to a new six-speed manual transmission and the Lineartronic continuously variable transmission, fuel consumption is higher across the line. Thanks to the generous 8.7 inches of ground clearance, the new Forester will offer a proper off-road capability. Regarding the interior, the 2014 Forester will offer increased rear seat legroom as well as an enlarged cargo area. The new Forester will offer in-demand infotainment features such as including smartphone integration, navigation, rear view camera, and harman/kardon premium audio amplifier and speakers.
