KICHERER’s tuning experts have created a package for the new Mercedes CLS 500 Coupé, which by itself is already an impressive vehicle with superior power with 408 Ps and 600 Nm torque. What the engineers, designers and technicians did at KICHERER was to emphasize the model’s sportiness, both visually and in terms of performance. A boost was given to the V8 biturbo engine by around 62 Ps and 90 Newton metres by using a software update and by installing a sports exhaust system.
To achieve 470hp, an original KICHERER PowerConverter (with an E certificate of conformity) was fitted in. As a result, its accelerator pedal becomes very responsive to the driver's commands. It features ex-works end pipes and a modern, nearly rectangular design.
KICHERER’s sports exhaust system on the V8 creates a sound that’s still exciting but remains discrete. It has been fitted with a set of hand-made KICHERER RS-1 20 inch forged wheels, which hints at the power of the 6 and 4 piston high performance braking system, consisting of compound discs and the flexible stainless steel hoses. On the inside, it was given elements such as door sills in piano lacquer that match the overall appearance of the KICHERER CLS. Its chassis was refurbished to complement the exterior character of the car with a HighEnd Foliation in matte black and carbon.
