As you may know already, Nissan introduced today the 2012 model year GT-R, a refreshed version of one of the most popular sports car available on the market. The new model brings several improvements such as: improved engine output, better fuel consumption, revised handling as well as a refreshed interior. Furthermore, the 2012 Nissan GT-R lineup includes six versions: the "Pure edition," "Black edition," "Premium edition," "SpecV," "Club Track" and "Egoist". The most interesting version promises to be the GT-R Egoist or the so-called M-Spec, which will allow customers to choose the exact level of dynamic performance and style to meet their various needs.
Regarding its engine output, the 2012 Nissan GT-R delivers 530 hp (current model delivers 485 hp) and an impressive 612 Nm of torque from 3,200 to 6,000 rpm. The new design includes a revised front bumper with integrated daytime running LEDs, a redesigned rear bumper which increases the rear downforce by about 10 percent. Furthermore, the new design also brings a better coefficient of drag, reduced from 0.27 to 0.26.
Six exterior colors are available, including two new colors: Meteo Flake Black Pearl (2P) and Aurora Flare Blue Pearl (2P). (Both are special colors.) Inside, we find a redesigned instrument panel pad and navigation system display, as well as a carbon center cluster finisher. Regarding its debut, Nissan North America announced today that the new 2012 Nissan GT-R will make its first North American appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17th.
