Suzuki S-Cross Concept

Suzuki has presented the S-Cross, a concept car that signals the arrival of the automaker’s next-generation C-segment crossover model, at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Suzuki will begin its programme of annual European model launches in 2013. This new crossover is the first to be released. Suzuki has built an image of building cars that make daily life more exciting. These cars are indicative of a brand strategy that’s shown through its slogan “Way of Life!” Suzuki’s focus has been developing models like the Alto. Suzuki is distinguished by small environmental footprints and low running costs due to incredibly low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Moving forward, Suzuki aims to launch models that surpass the environmental performance records set in the various segments.

The production model of the S-Cross concept will be one of the cars with the lowest CO2 emissions in the crossover C-segment. Since the Jimny was launched in 1970 (as originally the LJ series), Suzuki has expanded its range of off-road vehicles to consist of models like the Vitara and Grand Vitara; boosting the company’s reputation as the pioneer of compact sport utility vehicles (SUVs).

In the meantime, Suzuki has gotten unparalleled expertise in the development of compact passenger cars. Starting from around 1985, Suzuki has been working to refine its performance technologies in the segment of motor sport. In 2006, Suzuki brought together its advanced technologies in making the SX4 sport crossover. This model makes city driving relaxing and it also offers tremendous performance on snow and rough roads. Suzuki has the SX4 to thank for forming the crossover category in Europe and driving its expansion. It has made Suzuki as the undisputed crossover pioneer.
