2012 SEMA Preview: Ford coming with five customized Mustangs

2013 Mustang GT Ringbrothers

Ford gave us a sneak preview of the modified Mustangs that will be seen at the 2012 SEMA Show. Five custom Mustangs will be displayed at Ford’s booth alongside custom F-Series trucks, Focus STs, Escapes, and an Explorer. Three of the Mustangs feature the 5.0-liter V8 in GT form. One will be a convertible variant equipped with the 3.7-liter V6 powerplant. Beginning with the convertible, the open-top Mustang was personalized by Stitchcraft with a focus on its custom interior. Its performance gets a boost with the use of nitrous and a FlowMaster exhaust while the exterior receives an overhaul with a 3dCarbon body kit and custom paint scheme. Hotchkis offers help by installing a coilover suspension while Wilwood provides a big brake upgrade.

The 650-hp Mustang GT is the product of a team composed of detailing company Mothers, together with Autosport Dynamics and RTR. This Mustang gets track-ready suspension, an RTR carbon fiber body kit, aggressive wheels and tires, and custom Sparco seats in the interior. DSO Eyewear built a custom Mustang GT, giving it a Whipple twin-screw supercharger with intercooler that enhances its output to 750 hp.

It is equipped with the Eibach suspension and Brembo brakes while a 3dCarbon body kit proves an aggressive look. Rockford Fosgate provides the stereo upgrades. Then there’s the Mustang GT built by Ringbrothers. It is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 and is equipped with Baer brakes, suspension upgrades, a carbon fiber body kit, and a custom ‘waterborne’ paint.
