Toyota’s stand at the 2012 SEMA Show will feature two concepts that seem to belong to a two-track. The first is a rolling tackle box and is the dream of every fisherman - The Ultimate Fishing Tundra. The second is a steroid-dosed version of the FJ Cruiser. The vehicle perfect for fishermen is the “Ultimate Fishing Tundra.” Toyota went to pro angler Britt Myers to get advice. The concept has a storage system hiding in the covered truck bed. Myers said that it has the appearance of a Bass Pro Shop aisle, which includes tackle, reels, rods and a refrigerator. From these pictures, it appears that the storage system is placed on the truck’s bed for easy access, and operates on a motorized system.
The interior is filled with screens that demonstrate the Navionics lake-mapping options. Furthermore, Toyota threw out the rear bench seat for two buckets and a center console can be seen running from the dash to rear cabin wall. The image also shows that the truck has become much taller due to a 12-inch lift kit. It also features 20-inch Mud Grappler tires and better brakes.
The truck is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine and gets a boost in power from a TRD supercharger and new exhaust system. If off-roading is more your style, then the FJ-S concept is a better fit for you. It can get pass trails with its additional upgrades such as underbody exoskeleton to protect the car and provide chassis stiffening enough for serious suspension, tire and wheel upgrades. Just like the Tundra, the truck features a TRD supercharger that offers a 30% increase in power to 345 hp and 340 lb-ft of torque.
