The new Subaru XV has a starting price of AUD32,000, according to Subaru’s official website in Australia. This price makes this compact crossover considerably cheaper than the base Forester. The new Subaru XV, which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show, will go on sale this January. The top-of-the-range 2.0i-S, which comes with leather upholstery and sportier pedals, is priced at around $38,000.
Powering this model is a 2.0-liter boxer with 150hp, enabling the car to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62mph) in 10.5 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 187km/h (116mph) and offers a combined fuel efficiency of 6.9 liters per 100 km (36.2mpg). The new Subaru XV is offered in Europe with a 114hp base 1.6-liter and a 5-speed manual as standard.
But buyers may also opt for the CVT. It is powered by a 2.0-liter diesel that produces 147 hp and is quicker than the petrol, with an acceleration time to 100 km/h of 9.3 seconds and with a maximum speed of 198 km/h (123mph). In addition, it offers a combined economy of 5.6 liters per 100 km (42mpg).
