Subaru has recently unveiled the XV crossover, which features anthracite wheels and a bodywork that has the same color as the previous Focus ST. In early 2011, Subaru revealed the XV Concept at the Shanghai Auto Show. Subaru will also launch the new generation of 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter boxer engines and the 2.0-liter Boxer Diesel in the XV crossover. Its fuel economy is boosted with the use of CVT transmission and the Auto Start Stop system with Idle reduction.

The base 1.6-liter has an output of 114hp. A 5-speed manual is standard but the CVT is available to customers as well. Sprinting from zero to 100km/h (62mph) takes 13.1 seconds. It boasts a top speed of 179km/h (111mph). But what makes it more amazing is that it has a fuel economy rating of 6.5 liters/100 km (36.2 mph).

Meanwhile, the 2.0-liter boxer could deliver 150hp, enabling the car to go from zero to 100 km/h (62mph) in 10.5 seconds and to attain a maximum speed of 187km/h (116mph). It offers a combined fuel efficiency of 6.9 liters per 100 km (36.2mpg). The 2.0-liter diesel can deliver 147hp and is only available with a 6-speed manual. Moving from a standstill to 100km/h (62mph) takes 9.3 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 198 km/h (123mph), while it offers a combined economy of 5.6 liters per 100 km (42mpg).
