Suzuki GB PLC has started selling the £22,315 SZ-T, the latest Special Edition Grand Vitara model, with a limited run of only 500 cars. The SZ-T is based on the in-demand five door 1.9DDiS model, which has been given a unique set of improvements and specifications. The SZ-T model uses metallic paint in five colors: Quasar Grey, Silky Silver, Blueish Black Pearl, Phoenix Red Pearl and Nocturne Blue Pearl. It comes with an extensive collection of standard equipment such as a new design front grille, a set of 18-inch alloy wheels with a new design, unique contrasting seat fabric, silver colored roof rails and bonnet side vents.
Its door mirrors have integrated turn signal lamps. The Special Edition also features a tailgate mounted spare wheel, Cruise Control and keyless entry and start. It is powered by the Euro 5 emissions 1.9-litre DDiS engine, which delivers 129PS with torque of 300Nm from only 2,000rpm. These provide a high level of flexibility during attempts to overtake or when driving off road. In combined cycle driving, the DDiS model has a fuel economy rating of 41.5mpg with CO2 emissions of 179g/km.
The first compact SUV in the world was built by Suzuki 24 years ago. Its first Vitara created a new market for vehicles that offer true off-road performance with responsive and enjoyable on-road performance. Since that time, the SUV evolved to cope with the rising demand for attractive and versatile 4x4s that offer a good performance on the road as well as off it. Grand Vitara continues to be a true off-roader with its switchable low / high ratio Four Wheel Drive system.
