After the 2013 Chevrolet Traverse and the 2013 GMC Acadia, GM introduced today its third three-row crossover, the 2013 Buick Enclave. The new Enclave promises to offer new styling, new safety technologies, in-vehicle connectivity and a more refined driving experience. The first visual impact with the car shows the new LED daytime running lamps, but this is not all as the vehicle also comes with LED taillamps in order to show a more sculpted exterior design. Set to make its public debut this week at the 2012 New York Auto Show, the new 2013 Enclave will be offered in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models, each powered by a direct-injected 3.6L V-6 and mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission that contribute to the more refined driving experience (Enclave is expected to deliver an EPA-estimated 24 mpg on the highway - FWD models).
The engine delivers 288 hp and a maximum torque of 270 lb.-ft. or 366 Nm. Regarding the design, the 2013 Buick Enclave comes with a new front fascia with LED daytime running lamps, new headlamp design offered as standard with Xenon high-intensity discharge lamps (HID) and LED accent lighting (articulating headlamps are also available as an option), a new hood and black-chrome waterfall grille, new rear fascia deign with integrated exhaust outlets, new LED taillamps, monochromatic exterior appearance with chrome accents and new 19-inch and 20-inch aluminum wheel designs.
The interior was also updated and features new ice blue LED ambient lighting around the dash highlights Enclave's flowing lines, eight-way power front driver and passenger seats with four-way adjustable head restraints, four interior colors are available as well as a new "center stack" with standard IntelliLink LCD display, tri-zone climate system, capacitive touch controls and available navigation system. According to GM, the IntelliLink system is standard on all Buick models and promises to enhance the driving experience with a higher level of wireless connectivity and customized options. The 2013 Buick Enclave is the first vehicle to offer industry's first front center airbag as standard. Other standard safety features include the StabiliTrak, traction control, panic brake assist, rear-vision camera system and seven total air bags.
