The new Ford B-Max baby MPV will go on sale this September in the UK with a starting price of £12,995. Ford is offering its 1.0-litre, three-cylinder Ecoboost unit will be offered alongside 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrols, plus 1.5 and 1.6-litre Duratorq diesels. Buyers can choose from three specification levels: Studio, Zetec and Titanium. All the B-Max’s engine variants mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, except the 1.6-litre petrol car. The 1.6 variant manages the pweor and boosts Ford's six-speed Powershift automatic 'box. Ford claims that with its new 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, it could reach a fuel economy figure off 55.4mpg (57.7mpg on stop-start-equipped models) and emits just 119g/km and 114g/km CO2 respectively.
The B-Max model is the most environmentally friendly model out there. The B-Max model.is powered by the 1.6 Duratorq TDCi, which has a claimed economy figure of 70.6mpg. it has CO2 emissions of 104g/km CO2. This engine variant is offered only on top-spec Titanium models. The standard Ford B-Max has a fold-flat passenger seat, 'one hand one motion' fold flat rear seats and a DAB.
With a starting price of £15,600, the mid-spec Zetec models are priced from and feature 15-inch alloys, LED daytime running lights, chrome touches to the B-Max’s window and grille surrounds and a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob. Meanwhile, the flagship Titanium B-Max cars will have 16-inch alloys, cruise control, rain-sensing lights and windscreen wipers and an uprated stereo with multi-function display.
