The EPA gave the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid an estimate of 47-mpg city and highway. This rating, coupled with a starting price of only $27,200, makes it a formidable rival to the Toyota Prius as well as the Korean and Japanese automakers. The 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid, which boasts a combined system output of 188hp, surpasses the fuel economy ratings of its rivals such as the 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid, 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, and the 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid. But then, it is priced slightly higher at $27,895 MSRP (including $795 destination and handling fee). In comparison, the Camry Hybrid offers a mildly better performance with a combined system 200-hp. In addition, it has an estimated 43-mpg, 39-mpg highway rating and cost more than $1,000 lower than the Fusion Hybrid. However, the price difference is justifiable since it has better fuel economy ratings and its appearance is very appealing. Ford hasn’t released information yet about the interior of this house compared to its rivals. Ford has also not revealed what buyers of the 2013 Fusion Hybrid could expect.
