Ford unveiled today the 2013 Taurus, an updated version of it popular sedan which promises to deliver better fuel economy, improved design, more technology as well as enhanced driving dynamics. In addition, the 2013 Ford Taurus is firm’s first North American lineup to offer the advanced 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, producing 237 horsepower and 250 lb.-ft. of torque and delivering a highway fuel economy of at least 31 mpg.
Regarding the 2013 Taurus model powered by the 3.5-liter V6 engine, this model will carry 290 hp. Both engines will be offered with unique six-speed automatic transmissions which will help the drivers to optimize gear selection and drive the car in an ‘eco’ mode. Moreover, Ford says that each 2013 Taurus powertrain will feature additional technologies in order to help you conserve fuel, such as low-tension front end accessory drive belt, smart battery management, aggressive deceleration fuel shutoff, variable--displacement air conditioning compressor, reduced friction lubricants and electric power-assisted steering (EPAS).
Regarding the interior, the 2013 Taurus keeps green with recycled material in the cloth surfaces, headliner, and in noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) control components. As expected, the car will receive the SYNC with MyFord Touch, replacing many traditional buttons. Other options for the 2013 Ford Taurus include heated steering wheel, multicontour seats with Active Motion, Intelligent Access wit push-button start, auto high beams, rain-sensing wipers, rear view camera and rear window power sunshade.
