Hyundai’s next-generation 2013 Santa Fe crossover will debut this April at the New York Auto Show, according to a Motor Trend report. Hyundai started offering the current Santa Fe on the 2007 model year. It also got a refresh for the 2010 model year. The third-generation SUV will be the replacement for the midsize Hyundai crossover. It will make its debut in New York and is likely to go on sale as a 2013 model towards the end of 2012.
No details have been officially released but spy images of the vehicle in prototype form have come out in the past. The car’s interior and exterior were restyled according to Hyundai’s new design language
. It also seems to be a bit bigger overall. It is rumored that the car will keep its present drivetrain and engine options, which are more efficient and offer a more powerful performance. It’s possible that Hyundai will make a turbocharged four-cylinder engine available, similar to what Ford accomplished with the Explorer Ecoboost model.
