Order books for the all-new 2013 Lexus GS, which will go on sale in June, have been opened. It has a starting price of £32,995 and it is available with two engines: a 206bhp 2.5-litre V6 petrol and a 338bhp V6 hybrid. It’s also offered with four trim levels, including SE, Luxury, F Sport and Premier. Offered on the GS range as standard are 17-inch alloys, bi-xenon headlamps, LED daytime running lights and a rear-view camera. It also comes with heated leather seats, climate control, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and DAB. The Luxury versions get those features plus 18-inch alloys, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitor and sat-nav.

The F Sport models get a set of 19-inch wheels, as well as a boot spoiler and a bolder bumper design. The interior of the F Sport cars benefits from the added perforated leather sports steering wheel and gear knob, sports pedals and four-way lumbar support. F Sport cars have the company’s adaptive variable suspension and selectable drive modes. The Lexus dynamic handling system (including rear-wheel steering) can also be found on 450h models of the F Sport.

The top-of-the-line £50,995 GS450h Premier is equipped with 18-spoke 18-inch alloys, adaptive suspension and drive modes and electric semi-aniline leather seats. The model’s climate control has an ionizer. Its HDD nav and premium sound system comes with a 12.3-inch display (the biggest of its kind). It is available in nine exterior colors: Arctic Pearl, Sonic Silver, Velvet Black, Mercury Grey, Meteor Blue, Crimson Red, Atlantic Blue, Celestial Black. Obsidian Black is available just for the GS 450h. The F Sport models have a different range of colours: Arctic Pearl, Sonic Silver, Velvet Black, Mercury Grey and Crimson Red. There are six leather colours, with a Garnet red exclusive to the F Sport.
